What do I need for this course?
To take this course, a student must have previously completed a CMMI V1.3 introductory training course (e.g., Introduction to CMMI for Development, Introduction to CMMI for Services), or have taken a previous version of CMMI introductory course along with the appropriate training upgrade.
What are the course prerequisites?
The CMMI V2.0 Upgrade Training course is designed for students who have taken CMMI training for prior versions of the model to upgrade their knowledge to the current CMMI, V2.0. By registering for this course you verify that you have completed a licensed offering of the following prerequisite course(s):
- Introduction to CMMI V1.3 (for Development or Services); OR
- Introduction to CMMI V1.2 (for Development or Services) and CMMI V1.3 Upgrade Training; OR
- Introduction to CMMI V1.1, CMMI V1.2 Upgrade Training and CMMI V1.3 Upgrade Training.
Please note that if you complete the CMMI V2.0 Upgrade Training course without the prerequisite courses you will NOT be eligible to participate as a CMMI appraisal team member (ATM) for CMMI V2.0 appraisals.
CMMI -HIGH MATURITY CONCEPTS
High Maturity Concepts is an advanced capability building class. Focusing on quantitative management practices and techniques. High Maturity Concepts is a follow-on course to build your skills relative to high maturity capability. Foundations of Capability or CMMI V2.0 Upgrade and one of the Building Excellence courses are pre-requisites to registering for this class. This one-day class includes all materials, and 30-day online model viewer access.
What will I learn in this course?
- Explain the business value of improving performance using High Maturity concepts.
- Recognize process characteristics that meet the intent of the CMMI high maturity practices.
Who should take this course?
This course is intended for anyone interested in improving business performance who has completed Foundations of Capability and at least one course from the CMMI Building Excellence series.

What are the course prerequisites?
Students who wish to attend High Maturity Concepts must have previously either:
- Successfully completed (2-day) Foundations of Capability + (1-day) Building-Level Excellence (Building Development Excellence, Building Service Excellence, or Building Supplier Management Excellence)
OR - Successfully completed CMMI V2.0 Upgrade Training (for those who have previous CMMI V1.3 training).
